Our Hearts Are Always Parked Or Dwelling Somewhere

Our hearts are always parked or dwelling somewhere. That is our abiding place, where we remain or continue with Christ. Until we move away from that place, we are complete or perfect in Christ. “Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:21 KJV). The simplicity of our walk with Christ is straightforward and not to be complicated like modern attempts to analyze humanity. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2Corinthians 5:17 KJV). Our transformation is supernatural because it is the product of God and not man. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed [Greek, metamorphoō, transfigured, changed] by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2 KJV). Allow God’s Spirit to reorganize your thinking. As much as we know how, allow Scripture to interpret Scripture, so we can arrive at the supernatural conclusions the Holy Spirit has prepared for us. I like using the suggested cross references from the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (available with most Bible software and online).

Christian Unity

“Can we all get along?” was Rodney King’s emotional plea at the height of the 1992 Los Angeles rioting. Good question for the Church nearly 2,000 years after Jesus ascended back to Heaven. “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me” (John 17:20-21 KJV). Our unity in Christ persuades the world for Jesus, but our disunity will push them away. Remember the supernatural unity of the Original Church, where “all that believed were together, and had all things common” (Acts 2:42 KJV). May Christ who unites us be greater than the differences that divide us.

Superstition and Luck

Superstition and luck are the irrational belief that some guiding force for good or ill is directing life. The supernatural is by definition an unnatural explanation for events, describing both God and the devil. Faith and confidence are associated with God, while superstition and luck are not. When Paul was bit by a venomous snake, the superstitious islanders concluded he was a murderer being justly punished; but, when he survived, they called him a god. Take care to give the Almighty your confidence and all the glory; otherwise, like Herod taking undue credit for his speech, God will judge you. “And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost” (Acts 12:23 KJV).

Christian Supernaturalism Appreciates Our Supernatural Liberation in Christ

Christian Supernaturalism appreciates our supernatural liberation in Christ, while building the Kingdom of God in the material world. “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound” (Isaiah 61:1 KJV). Jesus  began His ministry reading this Scripture in the synagogue at Nazareth, sat down, and said, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears” (Luke 4:21 KJV).

Christianity Isn’t the Only Supernatural Religion in the World

Christian Supernaturalism is, of course, Christianity, but it’s with the understanding, Christianity isn’t the only supernatural religion in the world. “For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by Him” (1Corinthians 8:5-6 KJV).

NASA Commissioned A Study Of UAPs

NASA commissioned a study of UAPs (Unidentified Anamolous Phenomena) June 9, 2022. Rational explanation for some observable phenomena pushes beyond the known limits of science, raising the question of NASA’s ability to satisfy public interest. Non-scientific and supernatural explanations remain. Preceding the Second Coming of Christ, prophecy assumes the presence of “false Christs” and “false prophets,” specifically, the “beast out of the sea” (Revelation 13:1 KJV), which is the Antichrist and the “beast coming up out of the earth” (13:5), which is the False Prophet. There will be attempts to satisfy humanity’s fascination with UAPs, for Christ said, “There shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders [Greek, teras, miracles, non-scientific, defying natural law]; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24 KJV).

The Limits of Science

The limits of science must be honestly admitted by the most committed scientist. Science does not make moral or aesthetic judgments, neither does it tell you how to use scientific knowledge nor does it address the supernatural. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, Carl Sagan once said. “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:20 KJV).

Supernatural Christianity

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived — the things God has prepared for those who love Him” (1Corinthians 2:9 NIV).

For nearly 2,000 years the religion of Christ has striven for acceptance in the world. It has succeeded in integrating itself into the world, but it has also produced an effect of focusing upon the natural process and order of things — understandably, since God is both the originator, as well as, the continuous providential director of all things (Acts 17:28). Though all things concerning our natural existence are far from being answered, we have lost touch with the supernaturalness of our circumstances. God gave the earth to humankind for our benefit and blessing, that we might have “dominion [Hebrew, radah, rule]” over “all the earth” (Genesis 1:26 KJV). Jehovah, the Everlasting God, “walking in the garden in the cool of the day” (Genesis 3:8 NIV), with our Original Parents, not only communed with Adam and Eve, but directed them to extend the influence of His Divine Council beyond the Garden of Eden to the uttermost parts of the earth. It was His Divine Council because we know that even in the creation of man, God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness” (Genesis 1:26 NIV). “God [Hebrew, elohim, singular] has taken His place in the Divine Council; in the midst of the gods [Hebrew, elohim, plural] He holds judgment” (Psalm 82:1 ESV).
