Devil Doesn’t Care

The devil doesn’t care if we start, so long as we don’t finish. Of course, he’d prefer we never started. Nonetheless, only “he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13 KJV). Not only does God care that we start, but He has an intimate interest in our finishing. “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6 KJV). No one gets to Heaven or Hell against their will.

Discerning the Doctrines of Demons

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1Timothy 4:1 KJV). Charles H. Spurgeon said, “Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the difference between right and almost right.” Almost getting into Heaven is Hell. Father, give Thy people discernment to avoid the doctrines of demons. Amen.

Elon Musk on Mars

Elon Musk would like to go to Mars and make us a multi-planetary species. Not just digital payments through PayPal, electric cars through Tesla, solar panels through SolarCity, internet communications through StarLink, or payloads to the International Space Station, but eventually, he is targeting the moon and Mars through SpaceX. Can he do it? The greater question is, Will God let him? If it serves God’s purpose, of course Elon Musk could do it. When the Almighty quelled the last great earthly rebellion against Himself at the Tower of Babel, He said, “Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech” (Genesis 11:6-7 KJV). Yahweh’s Divine Council chose to thwart the Tower of Babel because He was laying out the future of the supernatural spiritual warfare between Himself and His adversary. What would the world be like, if we only had one language? Either it would be like Heaven, or more likely Hell. A promise for the godly: “Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: the remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain” (Psalm 76:10 KJV). LORD, may Thy Kingdom come and Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen and amen.

God Is, Therefore I Am

God is, therefore I am. “God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them” (Genesis 1:27 KJV). With the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), we are now discussing sentience (consciousness) and awareness like ancient philosophers defining reality. To be clear, the creature is not greater than the Creator; otherwise, Yahweh would cease to be all powerful. In no actual universe does less power trump all power. Our adversary specializes in frightening us with power that pales alongside the omnipotence of the LORD God. Just ask Elijah after the defeat of the prophets of Baal. The Almighty does not wake up in a cold sweat frightened of any adversary. “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear Him, which after He hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear Him” (Luke 12:5 KJV). By the way, Yahweh wins! “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Revelation 20:10 KJV). Hallelujah!

Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt

Fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) find us as an any easy target, if we allow someone other than God to define our reality. We like to think ourselves current with the events surrounding us. If an uncontrollable fire drives us into the ocean, as it recently did to many on the island of Maui in Lahaina, Hawaii, we, too, could not but react. Pray for Maui. May God be merciful to all those affected! Our hearts go out to you! But, beyond reasonable measures to prepare for adversity, our greatest resource and defense is confidence in God. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2Timothy 1:7 KJV). Fear, on the other hand, is a characteristic of hell. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8 KJV). Faith is confidence in God. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1 NIV). Faith comes from God’s Spirit working in us as we trust Him, in particular, when believing His Word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17 KJV). God alone is able to defend us from the triumvirate of fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Trust God, for He is worthy!
