Everyone needs Jesus. “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief” (1Timothy 1:15 KJV). But, only the Holy Spirit will ever truly convince us that we really do need Jesus. “When He [Holy Spirit] comes, He will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in Me [Jesus]; about righteousness, because I am going [ascending back] to the Father, where you can see Me no longer” (John 16:8-10 NIV).

Thy Kingdom Come
In our Lord’s prayer model for disciples, He instructs us to pray, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10 KJV). Both as the kingdom of God forming in human hearts and praying for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for His soon return to earth, Jesus considers this the primary need for His children. He instructs us our conduct on earth should imitate heaven, which also supernaturally gives us insight on what is going on in the heavenlies.
Who Is On The LORD’s Side?
We all want God to be on our side, but shouldn’t the more important question be, “Who is on the LORD’S side?” (Exodus 32:26 KJV). We all value living in peace, then shouldn’t we promote peace where we live? “Seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.” (Jeremiah 29:7 KJV). If the godly desire peace in the Middle East, how should we pray? “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6 KJV). Why would God ask us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, if He would send the Babylonians and later the Romans to destroy it? God has chosen to bless whom He sovereignly chooses to bless, and our place is to agree with God. When no human solution brings peace, then God alone must bring it. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem because the Almighty will move heaven and earth to bring it to pass.
Finding God
Where is God when we need Him in this crazy, complex world? “And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13 KJV). The wearisome of time and religion forces our isolation from one another, but from especially God. In His masterful plan for the universe, He is quietly moving us together, but particularly to Him.
The AMOC May Be Headed For Collapse
The Atlantic Meriodonal Overturning Current (AMOC) may be headed for collapse by the middle of the century or sooner, according to scientists, due to manmade global warming, as reported by CNN. The Gulf Stream current is part of the AMOC, which is a giant conveyor belt delivering warm water from the south to the North Atlantic, where it cools. Catastrophic global weather would result from the collapse of the AMOC. “For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom He hath chosen, He hath shortened the days” (Mark 13:19-20 KJV).
Hallelujah or Alleluia
Hallelujah or alleluia comes from the Hebrew, meaning praise (ye) Jah or praise the Lord. Hallelujah is an interjection or exclamation of triumphal praise by the godly to the Lord. “Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth” (Revelation 19:6 KJV). Even the world unwittingly uses the word Hallelujah as a proclamation of exasperated triumph — often with the lateral shaking of the head and the roll of the eyes.
Happiness Is A Choice
Happiness is a personal choice, but only Yahweh can persuade and aid us at being so blessed. “Kiss the Son [Messiah, Christ], lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him” (Psalm 2:12 KJV). In both Hebrew and Christian Scriptures “blessed” and “happy” are translation equivalents. Bless us, O LORD, and we shall be blessed. Amen and amen.
Vindication of Wisdom
“Wisdom is justified of all her children” (Luke 7:35 KJV). When Solomon proposed cutting an infant in half to satisfy the parental claims of two prostitutes (1Kings 3) or Jesus answered the resurrection denying Sadducees (Matthew 22), we miss the point, if we credit skill, diplomacy, or astute knowledge to their success. Wisdom flowing only from God can answer all of humanity’s unanswerable questions. “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God” (Matthew 22:29 KJV).
Antipathy of Our Children
Our children listen to us because they have no other choice. Do parents have a right to simply let their children discover themselves, whether to imitate their parents or not? “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 KJV). Godly parents must choose between possible antagonism from their children or certain opposition from God.
Wiser Than the Children of Light
Reading biographies of industry titans, I couldn’t help but appreciate their outcome, while many times recoiling at their amoral conduct. “Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee: the remainder of wrath shalt Thou restrain” (Psalm 76:10 KJV). The godly may perhaps not compete for the titan’s market, but shouldn’t they outperform the titan’s moral conduct? “And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light” (Luke 16:8 KJV).
