What If It Were Today?

When Jesus returns, then we will be raptured up to Him, to return in whatever timeframe befitting His promise: “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory” (Colossians 3:4 KJV). Even if we don’t think enough of the world has been reached with the Gospel to fulfill His promise, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14), we don’t know when our Sovereign All Knowing God says, It is enough. Just think of it. Our rapture would mean the answer of every possible prayer request concerning ourselves, e.g., healing, deliverance, insufficiencies. We would be immediately, “in the twinkling of an eye” (1Corinthians 15:52) transformed into His presence. And, it is sudden — that is, any moment. “Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not” (Luke 12:40). Who knows? It may be today! LORD, we worship You and pray that we will be useful in building Your kingdom now. But, let it be the kingdom of our hearts. Even so, Lord Jesus, return quickly. Amen and amen.
